There are many moods of motherhood. Baby blues are common and
usually go away within a couple of weeks. Having several signs or
symptoms for more than two weeks may mean you have depression.
Warning Signs & Symptoms
• Feeling very sad, anxious, or cranky
• Crying a lot
• Not feeling hungry or eating when not hungry
• Not up to doing daily tasks or taking care of self
• Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
• Trouble making decisions
• Feeling hopeless
• Fear of harming baby
• Fear of harming self
Getting help right away can prevent more serious problems later. It
is ok to ask for help. Talk to your health care provider.
