The St. Pete Times Forum opened in 1996 as the Ice Palace. The arena was built as a new home for the Lightning to replace Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, which was then known as the Thunderdome. Upon the completion of the Ice Palace, both the Lightning and the Tampa Bay Storm, also a tenant of the Thunderdome, moved in and have made it their home since then.

My 9 year old and I saw the J.B.'s when they opened for Hannah Montana. They put on a great show! They sounded awesome and really interacted with the crowd (my daughter was especially excited that Nick smiled and waved at her... we had really great floor seats *very* close to the stage. I didn't know much about them before the concert but from seeing their pics I expected them to be cheesey. Glad to say I was wrong. I was disappointed that they didn't open for Hannah in Orlando (the group Ever Life opened in Orlando and we not as good). Anyway, great concert!
